Today the situation is getting out of control. Covid-19 or coronavirus disease is a newly discovered infection that spread person to person. This virus is spread along with coughing, sneezing, talking, shaking hands. As droplets are not airborne, they do not spread disease, but people standing close to each other may inhale those droplets and become infected.
That’s why the idea of social distance comes to play. People are trying to maintain a social distance, but they also get infected through the contaminated surface and then touching their faces. This pandemic was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and spread to the whole world in a small period. And doctors and scientists are not getting any vaccine for this virus till now. This pandemic leads to the death of many people.
Why robots are used in hospitals during this COVID-19 pandemic
In Mexican hospitals, doctors take the help of robots to provide therapy for patients who feel lonely because of the coronavirus. This pandemic gives rise to big economic disruption including the largest global recession and becomes the reason for depression for many people.
It has led to postponing any sporting, religious, political culture event or any other occasion but doctors have to work for their patients. This becomes their prime duty to help people suffering from this virus. As doctors have to visit patients to look after them. Many great and experienced doctors got infected and the majority of general practitioners have lost their lives.
The benefit of robots in hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic
A robot plays a great role in providing the best therapy during the quarantine period of coronavirus patients. As they have to leave their homes and no contact from their loved one directly affects their mental psychology. These robots help doctors in reducing the risk of infection for medical workers. Help in delivering medications, food, measuring vital signs, assisting border control, temperature measurements, etc.

The height of the robot is 4.6 feet (1.4-meters) that walk around on wheels. These robots introduced themselves by telling their name. For example, ‘’hi, I’m LaLuchy Robotina!’’ Ask patients about their names?
Computer vision enabling assists it to recognize people and move itself to help the patient.

The idea was given by the neuropsychologist Lucia Ledesma in National Medical Center around November 20.
